GV Mobile + for Google Voice App Reviews

No luck getting this app to work. Always complains about Magic Key errors. I tried few suggestions found through google but no progress.

This app literally completes my iphone. I dont know what Id do without it. Owned the original, the one in cydia and this :). Good Job Mr kovac.

Dont waste your money if you have a CDN account.

If it isnt for Canadian why is it Canadian iTunes? I guess is to just rip us off dont waste ur money if ur from Canada

So long as you already have a Google Voice account, this app works great from within Canada. I had a few problems with the previous version, but this one has fixed them all. Nice work!

This app will not work in canada, it is for sale in the canadian store but it does not work here in winterland. I wanna my money back partner!

Has magic key error with cdn account.not working

Im not sure why all the negative reviews by Canadians. Perhaps they didnt read the information on the main page or they dont understand what this program is and what this program isnt (for example, it isnt a VoIP program like Skype) If you are outside the US and DONT already have a Google Voice account, DONT purchase this program. You ABSOLUTELY NEED a Google Voice account in order to use this program. Get a Google Voice (not the same as GoogleTalk) account first. Once you have a Google Voice account, regardless of what country youre in, GV Mobile+ works GREAT! That being said, it currently takes extra steps to get a Google Voice account outside the US but the author doesnt deserve a negative rating for Googles restriction on Google Voice. Ive been using this program with my Google Voice account in Canada without any issues or magic number errors (I disabled multiple sign in within my Google settings). If you want a Google Voice account and youre located outside the US, youll need access to a US proxy server that masks your non-US IP address in order to create your Google Voice account. You will also need a US phone number. Im glad that GV Mobile+ is available to people outside the US. Im in Canada and I already have a Google Voice account and GV Mobile+ works very well on my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0.1. It allows me to call the US for free using my data connection to initiate a voice callback to my US number which forwards to my Canadian mobile phone which has free incoming. My only negative comment is that the author of the program isnt responsive to tweets (Im not sure how responsive he is to his e-mails). I tweeted him about 5 times and never received any response or acknowledgment. He does seem to selectively reply to his tweets. The reason for my 4 star rating as opposed to a 5 star rating is mainly due to his selective responsiveness in tweets since I dont really have any issues with the program itself.

Great application and working like charm for me.dont understand why negative review . Application work just fine from Canada. There is always lots of room for improvement for all the applications available here.I am pretty sure that developer must be working on it too improve more and more, all he need is our support and appreciation .

Ive tried every way I can think of to try to get this app to work but every time I try to select my account it comes up with the "magic key error." I have an iPod touch is this the problem?

Honestly.. I could not get this app running. Main reason why and this should a bold statement in the app store about this app that it does requires you to have the google number. if you are thinking that you can make ONLY outgoing calls ( like in gmail) you will be very wrong. So, do not buy it unless you HAVE the google number.

Setup in canada without any issues. However it is missing 1. History number do not which phone was used, e.g. Home, mobile, or work etc. You will have no idea if you want to redial a number from history 2. It does not display my GV contacts but only local iPhone contacts, it will be nice if it added fav list, or use iPhone fav list, or display GV contacts. It will help finding the most commonly used numbers handy, otherwise you will have browse thru whole contacts list. Other than this, no other issues.

If I bought this app or not.

This promises to be great. So far the implemented features work great I am using them daily and from what the developer promises for the future its only going to get better. Cant wait for push notifications!

NEEDS Push! Push! Push! I use for SMS from my iPod. Great, but no push! Have to open app and refresh to get messages! Crappy...

Its almost perfect if it does PUSH! Does anyone know why this application quit/crash every time I send a text?

I have bought the app two days ago and still cannot use it. When setting it up, there is a message that says "Invalid response from Google (General)"; the developer is not getting back to me to help me fix it, and I am seeing many people on his blog with the same problem. People should hold on from buying this app until the problem is fixed. No point buying an app you cant use. There is no info on my money being refunded. Impossible to contact developer. People should NOT buy this application.
